We arrived in Kauai on time with no problems at 2:00pm local time (Kauai is 5 hours behind CST). It was raining when we got here and continued to be rainy and overcast most of the day. We went to a local farmers market and had fun buying local vegetables and fruits to try while we're here. Then we went to Wally World in Lihue to get other goods for the room--namely things to cook for breakfast and to pack lunches for hikes. Most things were priced more reasonably than I anticipated. Bread was a surprise though--$5.48 a loaf...gulp.
The resort we're staying at is awesome--Westin Princeville Ocean Villas. We got a great room on the second floor with a view of the ocean.
Tonight we stayed in and got our room unpacked and organized. We ordered a pizza on the property, sat outside on our patio, then enjoyed the hot tub before turning in.
